THE CRISIS WE CAN'T IGNORE...
Suicide is one of the leading—and most preventable—causes of death in the United States. With over 49,500 lives lost in 2024 alone, suicide now ranks as the 11th leading cause of death overall, and the 2nd leading cause for ages 10 to 34. This public health crisis has deep and complex roots: unaddressed mental health and substance use disorders; trauma, grief, and chronic stress; economic instability and rising cost of living; cyberbullying and toxic social media exposure; as well as social isolation and broken support systems.
For youth and marginalized communities, the burden is even heavier. From the ripple effect of untreated depression to the silence of those suffering alone, the cost is too high to ignore. But there is hope. When we raise awareness, reduce stigma, create culturally safe spaces, and prioritize emotional and mental wellness, we save lives. HEARTCHECK, Inc.™ is answering that call—one safe space, one healed heart, and one empowered community at a time.
